Digitalisation – in which areas are the biggest changes required?

In particular, changes for the company are being seen in the field of new technologies, followed by cloud technology as well as in the role of artificial intelligence. The IoT and Industry 4.0 are also major themes.

Martin Fischer, Managing Director of an innovative IT company, feels vindicated by the results of the study. New technologies, such as software solutions based on HTML 5 with responsive design, are already being offered by the company as one of the first software manufacturers for data management.

This raises the question of the fields in which the most activity will be required in the next three years: Which areas do companies need to rethink and where does action need to be taken?

The CIOs consider the biggest change to be in the digital networking of systems. More than half of them (57%) cite this subject area, followed by cloud solutions, which 56% of the respondents consider to be a Herculean task. The infrastructure also requires work; at 39%, this area was cited even more frequently than business model adaptation, which made up 29% of the answers (multiple answers were possible).

Martin Fischer knows that data integration poses a challenge for many companies and for many employees in IT and specialist departments within companies: “This is why we offer Lobster_data – a data integration software solution that does not require programming.” This simplicity is what has made the company one of the leading providers of data integration solutions.
